The US and Indonesia government is holding the fourth annual Investment Summit which will gather top officials from the two countries ranging from ministers to chambers of commerce, global companies and local businesspeople.

The investment summit—co-sponsored by American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Indonesia and the US Chamber of Commerce in Washington—will be hold on Thursday this week at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Jakarta.

Among those expected to attend are Coordinating Maritime Minister Luhut Panjaitan, Investment Coordinating Board chairman Thomas Lembong, Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita, Industry Minister Airlangga Hartarto and others.

“During the event we will also be releasing our annual US-Indonesia Investment Report, which this year is entitled ‘Vital & Growing: Adding up the US-Indonesia Economic Relationship’,” said AmCham spokesperson Gilang Ardana in a press statement on Friday in Jakarta.

The report, he continued, will reveal AmCham findings on the total dollar value of the economic engagement between the US and Indonesia. “We believe this is the first time research has been done to quantify the relationship,” Gilang said.

AmCham are partnering with BKPM, the Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo), and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) in holding the event. (ags)
